Galway Hookers - 'Under Sail'.
 
With her distinctive red sale billowing in the wind the Galway Hooker is a familiar site around the Western sea-board. These boats were the traditional fishing boats of Galway Bay especially designed to be able to sail in rough seas aswell as shallow waters. Each year there is a festival called 'Cruinnuí na mBád' where the Hookers are sailed from Connemara to Kinvara.
